The legendary Alley Chicago store has become an infamous "landmark" destination for
generations of counter-culture.

We are located at 3228 North Clark Street, and our stores encompass the corners of
Belmont & Clark in the Chicago area known as Lakeview, 1 block West of Boystown, and
5 blocks North of Wrigley Field.

The Alley Chicago through years of dedication and determination has become
the Midwest's premier one stop shop for bikers, punks, goths, rockers, and all other alternative
lifestyles. The Owner, Mark Thomas, often states, "The more things change, the more they
remain the same." This holds true for our core customer base and our store philosophy.
Faces change, trends change, but who we are and who our core customer is will always
remain the same. We believe that fashion is a part of one's identity and self expression.
The Alley Chicago has been in business for over 3 decades. There are very few mom
and pop stores that exist today that can boast this.
This is not just a lifestyle, this is our life.

The Alley Piercing Studio

Get Pierced Not Screwed

The Alley Piercing Studio was one of the first piercing studios to become fully licensed in the City of Chicago.
It is our goal to provide the cleanest, safest and best quality piercing to you.

We sterilize all materials, and stay up to date on piercing news, rules, and regulations.
We perform all piercings using a "clamp-less" freehand technique with ASTM certified, implant grade jewelry.
We have two highly talented piercers, Bryan and Art,
on our staff who would be happy to share their portfolios, aftercare procedures, and talk to you one on one.

Check out our huge selection of natural jewelry such as bone, shell, bamboo, exotic wood, and horn that can be used after your piercing has healed. We also offer a huge selection of Surgical Implant Grade Jewelry, Titanium, charms and accessories.

The Alley Tattoo Shop

The Alley Tattoo Shop officially opened in 2008.
We are fully licensed and specialize in custom tattoos.
We are excited to feature the work of Tattoo Artists Nexer, Eric Bullock, & Rick Levenchuck.

The Leather Department

The Alley Chicago features a great variety of leather apparel for riding, motocross, and different lifestyles. We also offer vegan friendly alternatives. The Alley Chicago still offers their infamous $99 motorcycle jacket.

Accessories/ Jewelry

The Alley Chicago store Owner, Mark Thomas, travels over 10,000 miles a year to find unique goods for his store.
When he could not find the items that his customers were in need of, he had them made himself.
He opened his own wholesale company; Mobtown Enterprises to fill the niche for items that he knew were so desperately needed.
The Alley Chicago offers over 1000 styles of belt buckles. We also offer a huge array of key chains, cigarette cases,
flasks, lighters, pendants, wallets, patches, jewelry, and sterling silver.

The Alley Chicago offers hundreds of licensed T-shirts and their own Alley branded merchandise.
